4. Click "Join This Site" on the left navigation tool bar and join this blog so that you can follow the regularly updated list of scholarships, grants, and other opportunities.
5. There are some guidelines on the degree and program you might want to consider. One, what are the needs of Mindanao, or the Philippines, or the world, etc.? Two, what are your abilities, skills, talents? Are you good in Math? Therefore, go for mathematics, statistics, the sciences & engineering. Are you good in the English language? Then, maybe go for journalism, philosophy, political science, pre-law, English major, communication, etc., etc. Three, what are your interests? Do you prefer nursing over medicine? Things like that. Spend at least about a year thinking--so that you will have time to come up with your Plans A, B, C, etc. Also, note that there will be college entrance exams. So, your admission in general and admission to specific programs depend on your scores in 1) verbal skills, 2) logic, 3) math and others. If you are a minor, consult 1) your parents, 2) your school career counselor and 3) some reputable and professional websites for advice. But at the end of the day, you must make your own choice, as your choice of degree and program will be your future and your whole life! Practice intellectual projection: Imagine and think of five years from now, will you be happy with the choice of degree major you will make for major A (such as nursing)? What about major B (pre-law)? Will you want to pursue law? What about major C (such as pre-medicine)? Best of luck!
6. Remember, nothing is guaranteed! You have to fill out completely all the application forms. You must submit all required materials on time. You are competing with many people. Again, nothing is guaranteed!
